Current Status:
Dan Wiart is the Partner in charge of consulting, internal
audit and special projects at Kingston Ross Pasnak LLP. His
practice focuses on projects outside the scope of traditional
accounting and assurance services, including financial
modeling and analysis, risk assessments, business plans, due
diligence procedures, internal control assessments,
enterprise risk management, performance based audits,
financial projections, business cases, strategic planning,
financial oversight, special reports and complex
calculations.
Dan holds a Chartered Accountant-Chartered Business
Valuator double designation. Dan began his career at Kingston
Ross Pasnak within the assurance and accounting department.
Upon attaining his Chartered Accountant designation, he moved
on to specialize within the business valuations and
litigation support area and attained his Chartered Business
Valuator designation. Dan spent four years in this area
before specializing in consulting, internal audit and special
projects

- Preparation of business cases and cost/benefit analyses

Alberta Government Services;
- Assessment of internal controls, performance of risk
assessments and recommendations for business process
improvements for multiple private and publicly accountable
entities;
- Lecturer on Canadian public company regulatory
compliance requirements post Sarbanes-Oxley;
- Preparation of financial forecasts and
projections;
- Preparation of business plans for private and publicly
accountable entities;
- Provision of public-private partnership risk transfer
analysis and quantification, financial modeling, direction
and consultation to the Government of Alberta;
- Preparation of financial capacity assessments;
- Completion of numerous due diligence engagements for
financiers and equity purchasers;
- Completion of numerous forensic accounting
engagements;
- Preparation of numerous valuations of public and
private companies;
- Preparation of numerous expert reports quantifying
economic damages in personal injury, fatality and breach of
contract actions in litigation; and,
- Provision of audit, accounting and income tax
services.
