Phoebe Elliot
As Principal, Director of Standards, Phoebe reviews financial statements and engagement files for compliance with accounting and assurance standards, maintains and improves the firm’s quality control system and engagement templates, and provides professional development sessions to the partner and manager group. Phoebe is passionate about quality and strives for excellence in everything she does.
Education

- Post secondary degrees in Professional Accounting and Mathematics
Experience
We count on Phoebe to share her expertise in many areas throughout the firm. She is our primary internal consultant for technical accounting and assurance issues, a Quality Assurance reviewer of complex and higher risk audit engagements, and the lead firm contact for all CPA Alberta and CPAB external reviews. In addition to instructing the partner and manager group on changes to accounting and assurance standards, she was responsible for implementing the CSQM 1&2 Quality Management standard throughout the firm, including a rewrite of our Quality Management policies and procedures.
Phoebe is currently serving her fourth year as Chair of the Practice Review Committee of CPA Alberta. She also served a two-year team as a practice reviewer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. She has extensive knowledge of the CPA Canada Handbook - Accounting and the CPA Canada Handbook - Assurance. Phoebe has also been awarded with a CPA Alberta Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes members or supporters of the profession who have demonstrated a significant achievement within the last five years.
